Marker: July 1st on Canada Day - Statues of Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria Toppled in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada

The symbolism of these two events on July 1st - which is the annual Canada Day celebration - should not be overlooked.  The beheading of the statue of Queen Victoria - the head then thrown into the river are markers--all this was taking place at the Manitoba Provincial legislature.
