This new "The York" project of rental apartment units [approximately 90-100 suites] located on York Street build cuts an imposing and distinctive towering new landmark in the centre of the town's landscape.. transformational work in the heart of the little town.. it is after all the era of 'smartgrowth' and 'densification' which has certainly taken root in this small eastcoast university town established in 1762.
The ground floor will offer rental/commercial spaces with high ceilings and large windows so it will be interesting to see the sort of tenants that take up occupancy below the many renters above...
Perhaps the "you'll own nothing and be happy" mantra is the perfect mantra for an eastcoast Canadian small town we could easily rename "Tantramar University City" for its embrace of everything United Nations/WEF.
