Canadians, Senate of Canada, Economics, Sen. Beyak, World Bank and IMF PowWow...

Monday, April 8, 2019 – Senator Percy Downe is re-elected to the board of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank & International Monetary Fund during their annual meeting attended by more than 150 parliamentarians from about 100 countries. Keynote speakers at this year’s meeting in Washington DC included Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde (left) and Interim President of the World Bank Group Kristalina Georgieva (right). As moderator of the special session with the IMF and World Bank Group leadership, Senator Downe had the opportunity to ask Madame Lagarde about overseas tax evasion and the cost of corruption on countries, and Madame Georgieva about the efforts of the World Bank to increase youth employment.
Le lundi 8 avril 2019 – Le sénateur Percy Downe est réélu au conseil d’administration du Réseau parlementaire sur la Banque mondiale et le Fonds monétaire international lors de sa réunion annuelle à laquelle plus de 150 parlementaires de près de 100 pays ont participé. La directrice générale du Fonds monétaire international (FMI), Christine Lagarde (à gauche), et la présidente par intérim du Groupe de la Banque mondiale, Kristalina Georgieva (à droite), faisaient partie des principaux orateurs à la réunion de cette année qui s’est déroulée à Washington DC. En tant que modérateur de la session avec les dirigeants du FMI et du Groupe de la Banque mondiale, le sénateur Downe a pu interroger Mme Lagarde sur l'évasion fiscale à l'étranger et le coût de la corruption pour les pays, et Mme Georgieva sur les efforts de la Banque mondiale pour accroître l'emploi des jeunes. — with Christine Lagarde and Kristalina Georgieva in Washington, District of Columbia.

Within just a month of that meeting Sen. Lynn Beyak's website is removed..
and Beyak is suspended without pay.
This week I had an opportunity to talk to Sen. Beyak and hope to be reporting further
on her current situation and those letters she had published at the website that 
are no longer available for the public to review.

Sen. Lynn Beyak has done nothing wrong.
This entire escapade is and assault on free speech is a witchhunt against Beyak because
she upheld the principles of fairness and free speech in Canada; the suspension has her muzzled...

Internal Economy Committee takes action regarding Senator Beyak

May 9, 2019

Ottawa – Following the Senate’s decision this afternoon to suspend Senator Lynn Beyak, the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration (CIBA) met immediately.
CIBA is moving forward without delay to implement its required actions as mandated by the Fifth Report of the Standing Committee on Ethics and Conflict of Interest for Senators.
