Open Call for Submissions: L’Ambiance
Short-term Art Projects during Sappyfest | July 31 – August 2, 2026
Deadline to Apply: Monday, March 2, 11:59pm Atlantic Time
Struts Gallery is inviting artists living in the Atlantic region (Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island) to submit proposals for L’Ambiance, a series of short-term artist projects presented in partnership with Sappyfest, everyone’s favourite independent music festival.
We welcome artists and artist collectives to propose projects that transform different areas of Sackville or Struts Gallery facilities into memorable, creative spaces. We are particularly interested in ongoing, ambient projects that offer opportunities for interaction. Proposed projects may animate specific zones, offer moments of respite from the bustle of the festival and/or open space for connection and engagement. We welcome use of our extensive media arts equipment holdings in the creation and/or execution of the project. Projects that occur outdoors and offsite are encouraged!
