The Carr Brothers Show with retired CBC journalist Terry Seguin, retired reporter - Episode #167

Terry Seguin like so many mouthy boomers has a Substack.. here:  WHY? - Terry Seguin

"It seems to me we need more opportunities for politicians to speak about policies and issues in full sentences, in more than soundbites. There is value in hearing a complex conversation, a complex back and forth, with unscripted answers. An exchange of ideas that isn’t managed by a public relations professional.

A case in point. I was recently asked to moderate a panel discussion about ways to increase civic engagement among young people. The guests were recognizable and credible. Former Premiers Bernard Lord and Brian Gallant and former NDP leader Elizabeth Weir. As it turned out Mr. Lord had to bow out, New Brunswick’s Child and Youth Advocate Kelly Lamrock was asked to replace him. And that was a good choice because Mr. Lamrock had written a fascinating and compelling assessment of why civic engagement was so important, an assessment all panelists had access to."

FYI I recall Terry Seguin blocked THE Indie Media Eastcoast on Twitter/X as have many journalists such as Erica Butler & Tori Weldon... what's up with that?
