Lady Smith Manor Owner-Renovators Stephen and Miriam - Open House Christmas Market
Thank you Miriam and Stephen for your warm hospitality!
FINALLY, after following the Youtube channel for over a year I was happy to take a trip out and pay $5 to attend at the annual "Christmas Market" held at Lady Smith Manor indoors and outdoors in late November on a lovely warm sunny day.. It was truly amazing ! I found Miriam over behind the bar in what will be the Thirsty Whippet Pub [yet to open to the public].. and her husband Stephen not too far away with their sweet whippet dog. Miriam advises they will be providing non-alcoholic beverages too!

And just when we thought we couldn’t get more excited…..we have also been nominated by the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture for a national Canadian Tourism Award.
Words can’t describe how honoured we are to be nominated, and how much we appreciate each and every person who has been part of our journey over the last few years.
We are so proud to be part of this amazing community and are so grateful that we have the opportunity to bring the Manor back to life for you to enjoy.

Lady Smith Manor Diaries - Episode 001 - Renovations of a Dorchester New Brunswick Heritage Home
Namesake notable "Smith" behind the name "Lady Smith Mayor" ... with some wiki history here:
Lady Smith Manor was the residence of Liberal Smith and his wife Sarah -- Premier Smith of the Colony of New Brunswick also known as Honourable Sir Albert James Smith ... he is buried in the Dorchester New Brunswick cemetary.. he appears to have had one son who died on the same day as him... how tragic... one wonders if they were involved in some sort of accident?

I'm not on Facebook but I did recently come across Miriam's project this year when I noticed the group 'Dorchester NB and Area Happenings' ..
