People's Party of Canada - Aboriginal Issues - Maxime Bernier - PPC 2019

The People's Party of Canada’s platform for the October 2019 general election is being progressively unveiled. Today, we invite you to read our policy proposal onaboriginal issues.
The PPC offers the most developed platform and the best policies. Our party will grow if more Canadians hear our message. If you know anyone who might be interested in today's topic, send them this.

Aboriginal Issues: A New Relationship Based on Mutual Respect

Issue

The aboriginal population of Canada is extremely diversified. It accounts for about 5% of Canada’s population and comprises First Nations, Inuit and Metis. There are more than 600 First Nations communities dispersed across the country. More than half of First Nations Canadians don’t live on reserves.
Aboriginal issues are also very complex. Some communities are prosperous, others much poorer than the Canadian average. Many suffer from acute social problems, including crime, domestic violence, substance abuse and suicide. Many don’t have the basic services that we take for granted such as access to clean water. There are other major issues to address regarding treaty negotiations, housing, property rights on reserves, etc.
It is not possible to address more than a few of these issues in the context of this election platform. Here is what a People’s Party government would prioritize on the basis of its four key principles.
Respect
Many injustices were committed in the past by the Canadian government towards aboriginals. We cannot rewrite the past, but only seek the best way to live together harmoniously in the future. This relationship must be based on mutual respect and a balanced approach taking into account the needs of the aboriginal population and the interests of the Canadian population as a whole.
  • A People’s Party government will explore options to replace the paternalistic Indian Act, which keeps aboriginals in a state of dependency and allows the federal government to control most aspects of their lives, with a new legal framework that guarantees equal rights and responsibilities to aboriginal people as Canadians, and promotes the self-reliance of communities.
  • A People’s Party government will respect our Constitution and treaties. It will reaffirm the federal government’s power to approve natural resources and infrastructure projects, after adequate consultations with affected aboriginal groups, and in partnership with them to ensure they can benefit from these economic opportunities.
Freedom
The lack of real private property on reserves is in part responsible for the poor state of housing and the social ills that derive from it, and is one of the greatest impediments to economic development.
  • A People’s Party government will explore further avenues to promote the establishment of individual property rights on reserves so as to empower its residents, and give them increased control over their lives.
Fairness
Fairness demands that all Canadians benefit from roughly equivalent services wherever they live. It’s unacceptable that some aboriginal communities live in conditions that resemble those of third world countries. But the current model to solve these problems is based on top-down bureaucratic solutions imposed by Ottawa on dependent communities with no voice in the process.
  • A People’s Party government will insure that aboriginal communities take more ownership of the services they receive in partnership with Ottawa and other levels of government.
Responsibility
Although Ottawa spends about $21 billion a year on aboriginal programs, there is little evidence that living conditions have been improving in aboriginal communities. The federal government and aboriginal administrations have a responsibility to ensure that taxpayers’ money is well spent.
A People’s Party government will review federal spending to ensure that programs are better targeted to benefit the aboriginal population, in particular the communities that have the greatest needs.

Maxime Bernier continues to trigger the progressives....

the SJWs are triggered by Maxime... Came across these 'social justice types' .. check this out: [RSM have commi logo, are actively censoring & openly communist group] UBC Students Against Bigotry Yesterday at 9:49 AM · The Hellenic Community of Vancouver is doing it again. Next Wednesday, the HCV plans to host a rally by Maxime Bernier, leader of the far-right, anti-immigrant People's Party of Canada. Bernier's party includes white supremacists, anti-Semites, and conspiracy theorists, and enjoys support from neo-nazis like Vancouver's own Brian Ruhe. You may recall that the HCV attempted to host a "Free Speech Club" event featuring Stefan Molyneux and Lauren Southern after it was forced to move out of UBC's Chan Centre back in March. That event was ultimately cancelled following sustained pressure by the community, including SAB and the Revolutionary Student Movement. Unfortunately, the HCV doesn't seem to have learned from its mistakes, so the Revolutionary Student Movement - Vancouver is organizing a welcome party for Bernier! https://www.facebook.com/events/410538472935646/

EuroCanadian.ca article on The People's Party of Canada

We at the Council of European Canadians believe that the People's Party of Canada's Immigration Policy is very good, far superior to anything offered by the Conservative Party. The policy is realistic and doable in a political climate controlled by an elite driven by hatred for the founding peoples of Canada. The PPC understands that our immigration policy should not be used as an ideological weapon to destroy "the cultural character of our country".

Conservatives won't let radical Islam critic Dr. Salim Mansur run in Ontario

Andrew Scheer, Conservative party leader rejects Prof. Salim Mansur as a candidate.  Maxime Bernier at the People's Party of Canada has invited Salim to join his party.  Federal election is October 21, 2019.

The Tories have rejected the candidacy of highly respected Prof. , a critic of islamism, for fear of being called islamophobic by Liberals. Can you trust Andrew Scheer to defend Canadian values? Is he willing to do *anything* to gain power?

People's Party of Canada - Maxime Bernier

Message from Team Mad Max:

"Last week, we told you we had 260 Electoral District Associations (EDAs) established across the country. This week, the number is up to 292! There are only 46 ridings left in the country that still don’t have their People’s Party association.

Trudeau 2.0 = NPC has got to go in 2019! Vote Justin Out! #Never Scheer

"PUTTING CANADA AND CANADIANS FIRST
I’m worried. Worried that we are losing our capacity to control our lives as Canadians.
Under the Trudeau Liberals, more and more of our country’s policies are being determined not in the interest of Canadians, but in those of foreign countries and international organizations.
Under the Paris Agreement, the Liberals are literally sending billions of dollars to developing countries to help fund climate change policies.
This, of course, after imposing a carbon tax that will make our economy less competitive, raise prices, while having no effect whatsoever on the climate.
The Liberals are also pushing two new UN international agreement, the Global Compact on Refugees and the Global Compact on Migration, that commit Canada to accepting more migrants and spend more money on them.
Another of the many worrying aspects of these Compacts is that governments should promote a pro-migrant perspective and discourage media criticism of it.
The Liberals are subordinating the sovereignty, security, freedom, and economic interests of our country to international agreements that put foreigners first, not Canadians.
And it gets worse.
Trudeau keeps spending our money in other countries, just to make himself popular and buy his seat at the UN Security Council.
Did you know that you as a taxpayer are paying for infrastructure in Indonesia? For health and education services to Palestinians? For “sexual health” programs in Congo?
That’s just a small sample of the $5 billion the government of Canada spends every year in other countries, instead of using that money to solve the many problems that we have here.
And what does Scheer’s Conservatives have to say about this? Nothing of course. I’m the only one raising these issues.
It’s time to tell the disconnected political class in Ottawa that the government of Canada is supposed to work for Canadians, not to be the welfare state of the planet." - Maxime Bernier, Canada

MadMax - People's Party of Canada - new federal leader Maxime Bernier

"The UN is a useless joke. Justin Trudeau keeps wasting Canadian taxpayers money abroad trying to get his seat at the UN Security Council. Instead, we should reassert our sovereignty and stop pretending that this corrupt international bureaucracy has any credibility." - Maxime Bernier, PPC

Maxime writes... "What is the real purpose of carbon taxes? Is it about the climate or just about raising $?
It’s interesting that six years ago, the UN was calling for a $25/tonne tax on emissions in rich countries to fund wasteful “development” programs in poor ones. "
———
